Purpose/Goal: Reduce incidences of soccer coaching decisions that are inconsistent and/or misaligned with the club coaching code of conduct, policies/procedures, and coaching expectations by 90%.
Role: Instructional Designer, eLearning Developer & Project Manager
Tools: Storyline 360 & PowerPoint
Challenges/Barriers: Under ideal circumstances, the training content involved in this project would be broken into three separate modules of 15-20 minutes each. However, learner time constraints revealed during the needs analysis for the client led to the development of a single eLearning course with pared down, methodically-chunked information and substantial opportunities for practice.
Evaluation: Learner reaction survey, coaching directors questionnaire, data analysis of compliance incidences after the completion of soccer season in Fall 2023.
Highlights:
Interactive markers to engage with on-screen graphics
Custom diagrams and images created/edited in PowerPoint
Accordion and tabbed interactions to explore additional information
Customized drag-and-drop sorting and scenario-based knowledge check questions
Triggers and variables to direct the learner to the assessment after successful completion of the practice activities and knowledge check questions
Text-to-speech narration and closed captions
